Your theme matters.
It just does.
People are going to judge your blog not just by how functional it is and easy to read but by how it looks, as well.
Maybe less so on mobile, since they often look very similar, but on desktop your theme design is important.
Always check your site on desktop AND mobile to make sure it’s working well on both.
I recommend investing in a good theme that matches your vision, brand, and message.

What I like: Her themes run on Kadence, which is a framework they’re designed on. I love Kadence, find it pretty user-friendly, and allows you to make lots of changes to your theme, easily.
She comes out with new themes at least once or twice a year, maybe even more. They are super on-trend and perfect for female bloggers.
Price Point: You’re going to pay for the quality but if you’re ready to invest, this is my first choice for WordPress themes. I have purchased many over the years! This blog you’re reading is run on her theme!
Starter Collection themes are $79.00 and are more of your traditional blog look, where there aren’t dedicated sections on the homepage, but rather display your latest blog posts.

Runner Up: 17th Avenue Themes
What I Like:A great option for those on a budget who still want a professional design. They are also built on Kadence, like Restored 316, which allows for all the same editing options I already mentioned. These themes are great for a soft, feminine touch to your website.
Price Point:$49-$149 depending on the theme and its design complexity. A great price point option for most budgets. I have purchased her Clover and Vivienne themes and was very happy with them.

Honorable Mentions: Blu Chic and Pix & Hue
Blu chic and Pix & Hue are built on the Elmentor framework, so it’s a different system than what runs Restored 316 and 17th Ave designs.
That isn’t a bad thing, but it is a framework I don’t have personal experience in.
However, having said that their themes are fantastic! Great for businesses and bloggers alike.
