So, you want pretty nails but don’t want to pay a salon for them? I hear you, I like doing my own nails from home when I’m craving a more put together look.
I’ve tried many different press on nail brands and definitely have my favorite premade designs, which I’ll be sharing in this article.
I’m also going to let you in on what I’m currently doing with my own nails – and pssst, it’s not a big-name brand nail brand!
So, what do you say? Let’s get to it!

My current nail routine
I get bored quickly and like change so since my press on nails usually last 10+ days, I was running into the issue of ripping them off because I wanted a change, which isn’t good for your nails.
I decided to try out a cheap brand of plain press on nails from Amazon, which I could then paint and decorate myself, and which would allow me to remove the nail polish and repaint with a different color whenever I’d like.
I’m pleased to say that this brand of press on nails fit my nail beds perfectly, are the perfect short almond length for my needs, and last at least 7 days (usually much longer).
While I do love and recommend brands of pre-decorated/designed press on nails, which you’ll also find in this article, I am seriously into this way of doing my nails!

What Are Cute Press On Nails
Press-on nails are basically your little secret weapon when you want cute nails without the whole salon situation. They’re pre-made nails that you just stick on at home with glue or sticky tabs, and boom, you’ve got a fresh manicure in like 10 minutes. They come in all the fun shapes, colors, and designs, so you can switch things up whenever you’re in the mood without being stuck with the same set for weeks. And the best part is, if you take them off carefully, you can usually reuse them, which makes them even more worth it.
Why You Should Use Press On Nails
Honestly, people love press-on nails because they make life so much easier. You can get that fresh, put-together manicure look in minutes without sitting in a salon chair for an hour or spending a ton of money. They’re perfect if you like to switch up your style often, since you’re not stuck with one color or design for weeks like with acrylics or gel. They’re also great if your nails need a break, because they’re less damaging when used and removed properly. And let’s be real, they’re kind of a lifesaver for last-minute plans when you suddenly want to feel a little more put together.
My Favorite Press on Nail Brands
I’ve tried several brands and the brands below are my top favorites! Admittedly, I’ve not tried all press on brands on the market, so if you have a brand, you love that aren’t mentioned here I’d love to know about them!
BTArtBox
Okay, I have to tell you, BTArtbox press-on nails are honestly my top favorite press-on nails right now. They just look so good and natural, like you actually went and got them done at a salon. They’re made with this soft gel material, so they’re not stiff or super fake-looking, and they come in so many cute styles and shapes. I love that they’re easy to put on, fit really well, and actually last if you prep your nails right. If you’ve been wanting press-ons that feel a little more high-end without the salon price, these are definitely it.
Glamnetic
Glamnetic press-on nails are one of those brands that just feel a little more elevated and trendy, like you’re getting that influencer, salon-level manicure at home. They’re super easy to apply, come in really cute shapes and designs, and have this glossy, durable finish that makes them look legit, not cheap at all. A lot of their sets are designed to last up to about two weeks if you apply them right, and they’ve got that thicker, high-quality feel that doesn’t bend or pop off easily . If you want something stylish, a little glam, and still super convenient, these are definitely one of those go-to brands you keep coming back to.
Olive and June
Okay friend, Olive & June press-on nails are one of those brands that just feel super clean, simple, and really natural looking, which I love. They’re known for giving you that “your nails but better” vibe, like soft neutrals, pretty everyday shades, and classic styles that don’t look over-the-top. Most of their sets (like these 👉 Olive & June Instant Mani Press-On Nails) come with a ton of size options so you can actually get a really good fit, and they include everything you need to do your nails at home. They’re also made with non-toxic glue and are designed to last up to about two weeks if you apply them right, which is honestly so nice for press-ons
Chill House (or Chill Tips)
Okay friend, if you haven’t tried Chill Tips (Chillhouse nails) yet, they are such a vibe and a little different from the usual press-ons in the best way. They feel very trendy and artsy, like cool-girl, editorial nails you’d see on Instagram or in a boutique salon. They’re designed to be super easy to apply, customizable to your nail shape, and they can last up to a couple of weeks if you do your prep right. What I really love about them is the designs. They’re not just basic colors, they’re fun, creative, and a little bold without being too much. If you want nails that feel unique and a little more “fashion girl” instead of just everyday simple, these are such a fun option to switch things up.
Keeping Those Nails On Long!
Okay friend, if you want your press-on nails to actually last and not pop off the next day, it’s all about the prep and a few little tricks that make a big difference.
First, make sure your nails are totally clean and dry. Like no lotion, no oils, nothing. I always wipe mine with alcohol or acetone first so the glue has something to really stick to. Then lightly buff your natural nails so they’re not super smooth, because that tiny bit of texture helps everything hold way better. When you apply the glue, don’t be shy, but don’t go overboard either. A thin layer on both your nail and the press-on works best. Press and hold each nail for a good 20 to 30 seconds so it really seals.
After that, try to avoid water for at least an hour or two if you can, because water too soon is the fastest way to ruin your hard work. And if you really want them to last, wear gloves when you’re doing dishes or cleaning. Basically, treat them a little gently and they’ll last you so much longer. Once you get your routine down, they can honestly look good for over a week, sometimes even longer.
My Final Thoughts
At the end of the day, press-on nails are just one of those easy little beauty hacks that make you feel put together without a ton of effort. Between all the different brands and styles, you can really find something that fits your vibe, whether you like simple and natural or bold and trendy. And once you get the hang of applying them and making them last, they honestly become such a go-to. It’s one of those things where you’re like, why didn’t I start doing this sooner?
